David Malek

With an international career in film, television, and theatre, David has performed throughout the UK, North America, Asia and Australia originating some of the biggest roles in musical theatre.

In LES MISERABLES, David played both lead roles Enjolras and Marius in the WEST END and at the EDINBURGH PLAYHOUSE and created the role of Marius in the original production in CANADA. He auditioned on BROADWAY for ANDREW LLOYD WEBER'S ASPETS OF LOVE and was offered the title role of Alex Dillingham in the WEST END where he performed the role at the PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE in over 500 performances. David played the role of Munkustrap in Cats in the WEST END and CANADA. Other highlights include singing with Sarah Brightman in the world tour of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber singing selections from PHANTOM OF THE OPERA with Sarah in Japan where he also sang on her album for Sony records. Career highlights include starring alongside comedic legend DAWN FRENCH in the London production of Side by Side by Sondheim. Angelo/Measure for Measure for Shakespeare and Co in the US . Tony in feature film Sing for Tri Star/Columbia pictures. Lucentio/Bill Calhoon in KISS ME KATE, and Paris in Adriana Lecouvreur with the CANADIAN OPERA COMPANY with legend Joan Sutherland.

David is the co owner and artistic director of SMA PRODUCTIONS.

Martin Crewes

Martin Crewes

Martin graduated in 1990 from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Musical Theatre and is currently one of Australia’s most in demand multi-talented actors and music theatre performers.

Martin’s Australian theatre credits include: Barnum, The Wizard of Oz, Aspects of Love, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, West Side Story, South Pacific, Chess, Guys and Dolls, Les Miserables, Oh What a Night, Hair, The Man from Snowy River “arena spectacular”, Dr Zhivago and the award winning Hayes Theatre production of Sweet Charity to name just a few.

Martins UK theatre credits include: Les Miserables, The Woman in White, The Rink, Pal Joey, Romeo and Juliet and The Sound of Music. Martin is also well known in the UK where he spent two years in the hit TV series Dream Team as well as the mini-series Daylight Robbery and was also cast in the original film of Resident Evil starring Milla Jovovich.

Philip Lowe

Philip Lowe

Philip studied music from an early age, specialising in trumpet as a child and moving to the guitar as a young adult. At 19 he accepted a place to study music theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts where he soon joined a cappella group ‘Five’ that regularly appeared at Perth Casino and major sporting events and went on to support Kool and the Gang for the Perth leg of their Australian tour.

In 1996 Philip moved to Sydney to join the original Australian cast of the musical Crazy for You for the Gordon Frost Organisation – his first big professional musical. Over the next 19 years he has since gone on to appear in numerous musicals and plays including Showboat, directed by Hal Prince; Cabaret, directed by Richard Wherrett; The Producers, directed by Susan Stroman; and Legends, directed by Chris Renshaw - all for GFO; The Sunshine Club, directed by Wesley Enoch for Sydney Theatre Company; Eurobeat for Glynn Nicholas Productions; No Way to Treat a Lady, directed by Stephen Colyer for Darlinghurst Theatre Company; Mary Poppins, directed by James Powell for Disney and Cameron Mackintosh; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, directed by Roger Hodgman for James Anthony Productions; Sondheim on Sondheim, directed by Jay James-Moody for Squabbalogic; and Beyond Desire, directed by Neil Rutherford, Blood Brothers, directed by Andrew Pole and High Society, directed by Helen Dallimore for the Hayes Theatre Company. Philip is thrilled to be working again with the team that presented Dusty – The Original Pop Diva, having joined the Australian tour of that production in 2006.

In addition to appearing in numerous TV commercials, Phillip’s television credits include guest roles on McLeod’s Daughter’s, All Saints, Home and Away, the CBS mini-series Blonde, Crownies, Anzac Girls and the documentary Australia: The Story of Us.

On the big screen Phillip’s film credits include Thank God He Met Lizzie, Black and White and The Honourable Wally Norman.

Drew Weston

Drew Weston

Drew is a graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).In the few short years since graduating, Drew has fast made his mark on the Australian and International theatre scene.

Drew has most recently appeared in The Rocky Horror Show understudying the roles of Brad and Rocky in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.
In his first job out Drew received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Curly in IAJ Internationals production of Oklahoma. He then went straight onto appear in the original cast of the Australian tour of Macintosh Disney Mary Poppins, where he understudied the role of Bert. He performed alongside Caroline O’Connor in The Production Company’s Gypsy and was also a featured soloist in GWB production of Ultimate Broadway in Shanghai.

Drew appears on the original cast recording of the Silver Donkey by Mathew Frank and Dean Bryant and traveled to New York to work with theatre composer Drew Gasparini (NBC- SMASH) where he was asked to appear on his compilation album ‘I Could Use A Drink’, which features TONY award nominees and is available on itunes.

Drew has recently returned home after working in stage and screen in London. His recent credits there include Apartment 40c, where he originated the role of Ed and the new US television series Galavant - ABC. Drew’s other Television credits include Issac in Winners & losers - Channel 7.

Sean Mulligan

Sean began training at the age of four under the direction of Peta Norton.

West End includes: Bob Crewe Jersey Boys, U/S Warner Emmett Legally Blonde Kenickie U/S Danny Grease and Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever (Apollo Victoria Theatre/National and Asian Tours).

Theatre includes : Dein Perry’s Tap Dogs and Steel City (Australian Tour / Radio City Music Hall); Show Boat; Happy Days - The Arena Mega Musical; Rolf in The Sound of Music; Mamma Mia!, Buck in Hot Shoe Shuffle and Leader of the Pack - The Ellie Greenwich Musical, Saturday Night Fever, A Chorus Line(Tel Aviv) White Christmas. Sean has also toured Australia with Sophie Monk and Danni Minogue and performed with Drew Anthony and Leonie Page in The Fabulous Rhythm Boys.

Keane Fletcher

Keane Fletcher

A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Keane has toured with the singing group The Ten Tenors since 2010, appearing in opera houses, theatres, concert halls and on television and radio shows across the world. Highlights include NBC’s The Today Show, the opening of the UEFA Cup in Warsaw with Taio Cruz, The Melbourne Cup, Sunrise and The Morning Show, and Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure. He can be heard on their most recent Ten Tenors album On Broadway as well as Double Platinum (which peaked at #7 in New Zealand and in the ARIA Top 20 here in Australia) and Nostalgia. Keane is also a proud member of the internationally renowned Boys in the Band appearing in concert and major corporate events across the globe.

Previous credits include The 27 Club, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, Altar Boyz, Hello Again, and The Good Fight for the New York Music Theatre Festival.

Tom Struik

Tom Struik

Tom has starred across the globe in the hit show Boys in the Band in major corporate events and concert tours including the F1 Grand Prix in Singapore, The Melbourne Arts Centre concert series and for both Melbourne and Sydney’s iconic Twilight Zoo concerts.

Tom has also performed with star artists such as Will.I.Am, Kylie Minogue, Joel Madden and Ricky Martin and was also flown to Glasgow to dance at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Tom is also one of Australia’s most in demand commercial dancers and has appeared in numerous television commercials and modelling campaigns.

Stephen Madsen

Stephen Madsen

Stephen is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and the Talent Development Project. His theatre credits include J.D. in Heathers (QPAC/Hayes Theatre), Mark in Rent (Hayes Theatre) and Richard Loeb in Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story (Chapel Off Chapel). After winning the 2015 TDP/ASCAP Bound for Broadway Scholarship he performed in New York at Birdland and Don’t Tell Mama. He was also nominated for three Sydney Theatre Awards in 2015 (Best Actor in a Musical, Best Supporting Actor in a Musical and Best Newcomer). He appeared as Jonathan in the short film A Place in Space and Time and features on the album Together Apart singing original material by Australian composers Lincoln Hall and Nicholas Gentile. Stephen is thrilled to be one of the cast members of Swoon.

Nana Matapule

Nana Matapule

Nana short for Vaingana is one of the original cast members of the international hit show, Boys in the Band and has performed all over the world with the show at countless high profile events, cruise appearances and on their sell-out concert tours. 2016 Nana was cast in the 2016 Hayes Theatre critically acclaimed production of Rent prior to returning to Boys in the Band and Swoon. Other credits include, Carnival Cruise Lines, in various successful cabaret performances, with television networks Fox 8, Freemantle Media and Network Ten, and as a backing vocalist for The Voice star and presenter Prinnie Stevens.

Mathew Verevis

Mathew Verevis

Mat Verevis joined the cast of the acclaimed concert show, Boys in the Band during 2014 and is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Mat has appeared in various stage productions and with Boys in the Band across the globe in concert, corporate and on board Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Lines.
Mat was also a finalist on the 2014 Season of The Voice Australia and as a result signed with Universal Records and is one of Sydney’s most in demand vocalists and is thrilled to be a member of Swoon The Mad Men of Swing.
